Points Validation & Process

The Committee and Stats Officer have received numerous enquiries regading points allocation and validation checks.  Below is an explanation of the current and previous points systems.
 
The current system of uploading points has been in use since February this year. While it was being implemented, no points could be uploaded in January as the system used by previous stats officers had become defunct.
 

Regional Representative Appointments

The Committee are pleased to announce the appointment of new BFA Regional Representatives. Jax Bradburn from Commandos as Regional Representative for North & East Yorkshire - York, Middlesbrough, Harrogate, Selby, Stockton on Tees, Cleveland. Helen Seddon from Carry Ons as Regional Representative for Cheshire, North Wales, Shropshire & Staffordshire. We wish them both every success in their new Roles.

Kennel Cough Advice

As you are probably aware following last weekend’s competitions there have been reported cases of kennel cough from two primary teams. As kennel cough is highly contagious discussions immediately took place on limiting exposure and ensuring that the rules on infectious diseases are adhered to. The incubation period for kennel cough is 7 to 10 days which means that teams may have inadvertently attended a competition prior to their dog showing any symptoms.

Constitution & Rules of Flyball Racing 31 May 2018 - now in effect

The new BFA Constitution and Rules of Flyball Racing are now in effect.


An email has been sent to all Head Judges, Qualified Judges, Measuring Officials and Team Captains. Several emails have been returned undelivered so apologies if you have not received your copy. The rules are now available to download from the BFA website in the downloads section.

BFA Constitution & Rules of Racing 31st May 2018

The BFA Committee hereby announce the publication of the BFA Constitution and Rules of Racing which will come into effect on 31st May 2018. A copy will be emailed to all Team Captains, Head Judges, Qualified Judges and Measuring Officials in due course.
The version published here shows the changes in red text.
The current rules are still available on the Downloads page of the BFA website and will be replaced on 31st May 2018.

AGM Rule Proposals Results 2018

The BFA Committee are pleased to announce the results of the AGM 2018 Rule Proposals are now available.
Please see the attached document for details of all the results.

Data Protection Policy

Due to General Data Protection Regulation, the BFA Committee has developed a Data Protection Policy, which will be added as an Appendix to the rules when they are published with the rules amendments following the AGM rule proposals results. The policy is attached for members to view in advance. Any questions regarding the policy should be sent to juddybfa@gmail.com

Voting end date reminder

Please be reminded that the voting deadline on the proposals is fast approaching.

Voting will remain open until 12 noon on Wednesday 9th May. If you have any problems with the voting system please contact ERS Customerservices@electoralreform.co.uk but please remember they will only respond Monday to Friday in normal working hours.

The results of the votes will be announced on Monday 14th May.

AGM.Proposal Voting Opens

A reminder to all members that online voting for AGM proposals opens today. ERS are planning to send emails at 12 noon today, Friday 27th April. Voting will remain open until 12 noon on Wednesday 9th May. Please be patient if your email does not arrive immediately. Please note that the membership list has been cleansed since the constitution vote and members that didn't receive the email routinely should hopefully now receive.
