Committee Response to Kennel Club Announcement

The BFA Committee would like to make the membership know that we are incredibly disappointed with the announcement by the Kennel Club today regarding the future organisation of the Crufts flyball qualifiers and finals for 2020. We can empathise with those BFA teams who have hosted qualifiers for many years who have now become surplus to requirements. Although the Kennel Club state that a consultation was carried out, we can confirm that the BFA Committee were not contacted at all throughout this period. The BFA has had a high profile and presence at Crufts over many years with many BFA Judges being asked to officiate and many BFA members both competing and supporting with ring party. Last week we sent an email to officials at the Kennel Club raising several concerns about the way the BFA membership has been treated and are awaiting a reply. We will keep the membership updated as and when we are able.
