Membership Renewals prior to AGM

The BFA Committee are taking this opportunity to remind members that in order to be eligible to vote at this year's Annual General Meeting, and the subsequent online vote, your membership must be renewed prior to the announcement of the Annual General Meeting, which is anticipated in early February.

New Record and Stats Team

The BFA Committee are pleased to announce the formation of a new Records and Stats Team. We were overwhelmed with the response from the membership for volunteers to fill these new roles and would like to thank everyone that put themselves forward.

The Records and Stats Team will now consist of a coordinator and a team of support officers. The appointed coordinator is Kim Sermon (Lightning Strikes) and her support officers are Caz Higginson (Trigger Happy), Helen Seddon (Carry Ons) and Debbie Speed (Monsters).

BFA Annual Awards Survey

BFA members are constantly doing some amazing things and the BFA Committee are looking at instigating some new annual awards to formally acknowledge this.  We already reward teams for speed and wins and we recognise dog achievements through the points system, but we would also like to recognise all those achievements which don't currently earn a rosette, a trophy or a glass award.  We have put together a few ideas and are asking the membership for thier feedback on what you would like to see recognised on an annual basis.  We would be grateful if you would spend a few minutes

Records & Stats Team Vacancy

The BFA Committee are excited to announce a vacancy for a Records and Stats Officer to work alongside our current stats officer.

On reviewing the role, we are looking at having a stats team due to the workload being too much for an individual.

Measuring Announcement

As you are all aware, flyball is a developing sport.
The committee has discussed at length the measuring system and would like to do some research into this. So we need your help!

November Rule Changes

The BFA committee can now announce the November rule changes. These rules will come into effect from 1st November 2019. For your ease, the amendments, which are only minor, are briefly detailed in the following list and also highlighted in red in the attached version of the rules:
