Committee Announcement
Proposal for the Constitution and Restructured Rules of Racing.

Constitution update version 2

Following constructive feedback and taking on board suggestions from BFA members, the Rules Working Party and Committee have worked together over the last few days on a revised constitution.

Constitution proposal update

Thank you to all the members who took time to give feedback regarding the proposed Constitution and the Rules of Racing.
The Committee have found this period of consultation very constructive and work has been undertaken this weekend by the Rules Working Party in conjunction with the Committee, to take these comments on board and to make amendments to the documents.

An amended version will be made available to all members this evening, please look out for the announcement.

Constitution & Rules of Racing Proposal

As per our previous announcement on the 14th Feb in regards to the proposed change to the structure of our rules please see the attached Constitution & Rules of Flyball Racing.

The Constitution and Rules of Flyball racing have now been separated. What this means is that the constitution which provides the Association's foundation remains in place. The Rules for Flyball Racing will be open for proposals and a membership vote each year.

The constitution underpins the BFA's philosophy and ethos.

Social Media

Social media policy

Before forming the new BFA members group a social media policy was put into place. This was put in place to protect the Association, BFA members, Committee and Officers from destructive comments and behaviour levelled at the Association and its members.

To join BFA Members 2018 we have requested that people agree to abide by the terms and conditions within this policy and this includes comments made both within the group and about the BFA on any social media.

AGM Announcement

In the 24th year of the BFA the rule book has seen many changes and has become a little disjointed and difficult to follow. The membership have highlighted on many occcasions that several rules are open to interpretation.

In an effort to rectify this, on the 1st of November 2017, the Committee appointed a rules working group from volunteers within the membership. The members that came forward provided a wide variety of skills and professional experience.

Disciplinary process conclusion

The following is an announcement by the BFA Committee regarding recently concluded disciplinary proceedings.
Please note - there is still another case in progress and as stated previously we are unable to discuss or comment on this until it is fully concluded.

We are now in a position to update the membership regarding the outcome of a DSC, appointed following the investigation of two official complaints.

The DSC was composed of 3 vastly experienced independent BFA members.
