In conjunction with this, we are pleased to announce the committee has re-introduced a working party of 5 individuals who will work alongside the committee to review any rule change proposals that come forward this year. The working party will be in place to suggest any potential word amendments to the proposer, to ensure that rules can be added quickly and efficiently at the time of introduction should they be successful.
The closing date for agenda items is Sunday, 17th March 2024. Any agenda items raised after this point will not be accepted as per rule 8.3.
The agenda will be published as soon as is possible after this date and not less than 10 days prior to the AGM, as per rule 8.4. For clarity, this means the Agenda will be published no later than Wednesday, 10th April 2024.
No later than Monday, 25th March 2024 the committee will begin to release to the membership a summary of each, individual rule change proposal. This will be staggered until and including Sunday, 31st March. Any proposer will be actively encouraged to discuss the rational and answer any questions the wider membership may have in respect to your proposal.
At the AGM, those members attending will be given the opportunity to debate the proposals, and to listen to the discussions both for and against each proposed rule change. The proposer of any rule change will be asked to once again give a summary of their proposed rule change. Following the debate each rule will be taken to a vote of the voting members present at the meeting.
The committee has formed highly skilled working party to re write constitution, therefore we are unable to accept any constitutional proposals this year.
Voting will be made available to all attendees, more details surrounding this will be made available closer to the time
Voting for members not in attendance online will be available after the minutes are made available.
This will be facilitated via a summary of any discussion regarding rule changes being made available post AGM.
The committee at this time aspire to have this summary available for the membership’s attention by Monday, 29th April. This will also constitute as the minutes of the meeting.
Voting will be available to the wider membership who were not in attendance at the AGM on Saturday, 20th April from Wednesday, 1st May until Sunday, 5th May 2024.
After the voting has closed and the votes tallied, results of each vote shall be announced to the membership, and any rule changes will then be made at the earliest practical time. Please note each valid member will only be able to receive one vote, and any duplicated votes will not be accepted.
